About Brian
I'm a Brighton-based mortgage adviser helping my neighbours and former colleagues in the media and finance industry make confident decisions.
Whether you’re buying for the first time, re-mortgaging, or investing, I’ll handle the details and guide you through the process.
Before getting into mortgages, I was a financial journalist for two decades in London and Frankfurt. I’ve covered everything from central banks to big energy companies to bond markets and stocks. I’ll show the same grit I used to chase stories to get you the best deal for you.
If you want to chat about where interest rates are going, that’s my bread and butter–you won’t find many other mortgage brokers who have interviewed the Bank of England governor or, as I did at one point in the 2007-08 financial crisis, asked if they’re going to resign. But I’ll also understand if you just need me to solve your problems, and that’s fine, too.
I’m originally from the US, but I’ve spent almost all of my adult life in the UK and Europe. I lived in south London for 15 years before making the big switch to Brighton. When I’m not at work, you can find me watching my sons skateboard and playing football and rugby. I also enjoy walks with the dog at the beach or in the South Downs.
